‘S10’ leak shows true all-screen display
dubai — We’re still reeling from the foldable device Samsung Electronics unveiled recently, but there’s already another image connected to the smartphone giant we can feast our eyes upon.
Speculation ramped up as a new leak surfaced, purporting to show a 3D glass screen protector allegedly made for the South Korean company’s next flagship, which is being dubbed as the ‘Galaxy S10’.
While the image — shared by Samsung tipster Ice Universe who claims the source is Chinese microblogging site Weibo — is straightforward, it gives away a lot: it’s curved on the sides and has neither a chin below or notch on top, meaning we may be seeing a true all-screen display from Samsung. It

Ice Universe comes in two sizes: one each for the ‘Galaxy S10’ and ‘Galaxy S10+’. The devices have an internal codename of ‘Beyond’.
This gives credence to rumours that Samsung is working to incorporate the front camera — along with its face-recognition system — into the device’s screen.
Samsung, though, won’t be the first to come up with a true allscreen display: Oppo recently launched the Find X, which has that kind of display. Its front camera system, though, uses a special mechanism that enables to it to slide up when activated.
Word also has it that Samsung may even drop the ‘Galaxy’ name from its new line-up as it begins a new decade of making devices.
So far, it is widely expected that Samsung’s next 5G-capable flagship will come with, among many other improvements, a triple-lens camera system. Reports have also surfaced that it would come with 12GB of memory and 1TB of internal storage.
