UAE envoy discusses investment, trade ties with governor and CM
UAE Ambassador Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al Zaabi talking to Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar at a meeting in Lahore. — lahore — UAE Ambassador to Pakistan, Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al Zaabi, and Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar discussed ways to boost relations, promote investments and increase trade between the UAE and Pakistan.
At a meeting, Al Zaabi explained the economic opportunities available in the UAE, and Dubai’s preparations for hosting the Expo-2020.
Sarwar highlighted his province’s economic potential and investment opportunities while thanking the UAE for enhancing its economic relations with Pakistan and its continued support, especially its humanitarian aid and investment in energy, renewable energy and agriculture sectors.
In a separate meeting, Al Zaabi and Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar discussed bilateral ties in Lahore. During the meeting, Buzdar praised the historic ties between the two countries, which were established by UAE’s Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
Highlighting the support Sheikh Zayed provided to Pakistan, Buzdar said that he has a special place in the hearts of all Pakistanis.
Al Zaabi praised the relations between the two countries and stressed the importance of developing them in economic, commercial and humanitarian areas.
Al Zaabi also visited the Sheikh Zayed Hospital in Lahore, which was inaugurated in 1986, and met patients there. He also called on its director and medical and administrative staff. He visited the facilities and sections of the hospital and praised the services it provides, especially for treatment of kidney and liver patients. —
