dubai — A host of international professionals participants will be seen in action in the sixth edition of the Dubai International Pro JiuJitsu Championship which will kick off at the Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex on Dec. 14.

The two-day championship will see players aged 16 and above compete across the Junior, Adult and Master categories.

The Dubai International Pro JiuJitsu Championship has successfully established itself as an international professional Jiu-Jitsu event over the years. Providing a highly-competitive environment, it has attracted top international players, offering participants the chance to enhance their experience through facing their peers across various belts and skills.

The Championship also constitutes an important milestone in the players’ professional careers, allowing them to accumulate points and climb up the official UAEJJF rankings.

Youssef Al Batran, UAEJJF Board Member and Director of the Dubai International Pro Jiu-Jitsu Championship, emphasised that the Championship supports the UAEJJF’s strategy of strengthening the country’s position on the international Jiu-Jitsu stage. This, he added, will be achieved through attracting international professionals of various levels and skills, which will help develop the participants’ abilities.

“The significance of this competition stems from the fact that it offers players the chance to improve their national and international rankings and take their careers to new levels,” Al Batran said.

Extending his gratitude and appreciation to Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, for his gracious patronage of the Championship and Jiu-Jitsu in general, Al Batran also stressed that Dubai hosting the Championship enhances its status as sports people favorite hub.
