Free medical camp in RAK tomorrow
ras al khaimah — The Indian Association, in coordination with Union Medical and Dental Centre, is conducting a free medical camp, “under the patronage of the Ministry of Health RAK Zone” at Indian School premises on Friday, from 8.30am to 6.00pm.
Several doctors and medical staff have come forward voluntarily to be part of this humanitarian mission, organisers said. Laboratory testing for sugar, cholesterol, ECG, ultrasound, echo test, etc, will be available free of charge in addition to free medical check-up and medicines.
Dr Reji K Jacob, president of Indian Association, said: “More than 3,000 people — mostly construction workers, fishermen and housemaids — will be benefitting from the medical camp. The major objective of conducting camp is to create awareness of general health among the people and provide on-the-spot, comprehensive healthcare services. Doctors of various expertise have voluntarily come forward to serve this humanitarian event.”
