Go outdoors, it’ll help you destress and lead a better life
Physical and psychological stress has become very much part of contemporary living. Keeping this in mind, corporates and organisations initiate several physical activities through public events and social gatherings.
There’s peer pressure at work, keeping up with the Jones at social gatherings, family or work-related issues bind many people wherever they are. Modern time has bestowed upon us many luxuries but it has also taken away our time and changed our habits so drastically. Most of us spend our precious time at work. Many others tend to devote their free time watching television or being online with distant friends and families. All these activities force us to remain indoors.
Switching on television or spending time on our gadgets calm us down and destress, or so we think. Even as I sit down and recall the past week, I spent more time at work, and I obviously deserve a relaxing time, preferably outside.
Let’s move beyond our home and explore the greenways of nature. In contemporary living, all the precious occasions have become a sort of procedure or commitment that often ignores the significance of traditions. In olden days, people used to spend the whole day outside, get plenty of sun and be around real people. It gave them plenty of relief, physically and psychologically. Children too were always found playing outdoors; nature was their ultimate playing field.
But today the scenario has changed. However, a simple outing to a nearby park during the weekends can give the pleasure of being close to nature. The true feeling of exploring nature supports the entire family a healthy living. The scenic and fascinating beauty of the surroundings is always sure to alleviate stress.
Take a walk around the park, spend some time there and enjoy the freshness of nature and its surroundings.
