This was disclosed by Railways Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed at a Press conference here on Saturday. He said that trackers had been provided to the railways by a local engineer.

He said the railways control room in the headquarters was also being modernised so that the railway staff could monitor the position of a train and rescue passengers in case of any emergency.

“We want to operate a modern VVIP train with the help of a fivestar hotel. Good news in this regard will soon be shared,” he said. Sheikh Rashid said managements of some five star hotels also contacted the railways for running a train and an investment committee would take a decision in this regard.
