The defendant ran out of the woman’s room when she started screaming for help.
“He tried to steal whatever he could lay his hands on in my room and robbed me of
Dh150.” On being alerted, the RAK Police launched an investigation, and arrested the suspect.
The man was referred to the RAK public prosecution, and then to the criminal court here where he admitted to trespassing into the house of the woman through one of its windows.
He added that he sneaked into the bedroom of the plaintiff and held her leg trying to rape her while she was asleep.
The accused told the court that he was not aware of his actions as he was under the influence of alcohol.
He also denied robbing any money from the victim.
The defence lawyer told the court that his client was fully drunk when he trespassed the house of the complainant.
