8 principles that guide dubai
With His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, completing 50 years in the service of the country, the charismatic leader has shared his 8-point mantra of governance.
“These are the eight defining principles upon which Dubai was founded and has been governed over the years; principles that I endorse as the Ruler of Dubai. I call on all those in a position of responsibility in the Emirate to abide by these principles, ensuring their implementation at all events and times,” Sheikh Mohammed said.
The principles will “ensure the well-being of our people, the sustained progress of our nation and the welfare of our future generations”, he said in a signed letter released on Saturday. “These are the eight principles for governing in Dubai that we recommend to ourselves and to those who will succeed us. We call on future generations to preserve these principles and hand them down to those who succeed them,” Sheikh Mohammed said.
The Dubai Ruler also took to Twitter to thank those who appreciated his 50-year milestone. “I dedicated 50 years of my life serving my country; it gave me experience, wisdom and lots of love and peace,” he tweeted.
In the Name of Allah, and praise be to Him! From Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to all those who assume responsibility in Dubai. These are the eight defining principles upon which Dubai was founded and has been governed over the years; principles that I endorse as the Ruler of Dubai.
