The event had a raffle draw that saw parents win complimentary physiotherapy sessions, dental checkup, massage sessions, a complimentary five-hour ride in a special car designed for the determined ones by Enaya Car Rentals and a copy of a book by Rima Soni.

Father of a determined one, Ameeruddin, who attended the session said: “We mostly run to doctors or schools and never ever think about ourselves. These sessions were a good reminder for us. Just like in the aircraft when there is turbulence where the air hostess tells us to wear oxygen masks first and then help our children, I need to take care of my mental and physical health in order to better care of my son.”

Gauri, who has a six year old autistic child, said: “We have such a hectic schedule and are so busy pampering our family that we forget taking care of our self. Such events stir positivity and make us feel loved and cared for. It was great to connect with other parents in similar situation and when they shared their stories and tips, we could relate and learn from them. We mothers are totally drained and stressed by the end of the day so we need such pampering sessions to rejuvenate.”

Poonam, who has a nine-yearold son with some social skill issues, said: “I have three children and my every day schedule is maddening as morning goes in getting my kids ready for school and by evening I am totally drained doing household work and looking after their needs. I have no time to even look at my face let alone going to a parlour. But the beauty tips and massage sessions I got today were so relaxing. I learnt how everything I have in my kitchen can be used as a cosmetic and how I can get rid of my backpain in just a matter of few minutes through the EFT tips. It was a very beneficial event totally focused on us parents and we hope we have more such events.”
