CUD lines up unique courses for summer
— Canadian University Dubai (CUD) has launched International Summer School, featuring a fun-packed threeweek academic and cultural experience for youngsters.
Open to local and overseas participants aged above 16, the programme has been designed to impart practical work-related skills while expanding their global networks, with the added incentive of site visits to key UAE landmarks, such as Le Louvre Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Etihad Museum, indoor theme parks and desert safaris.
The International Summer School will run from June 9 to 26, 2019, offering a multitude of exciting and contemporary topics, ranging from launching startup to learning the Korean language, robotics and virtual reality, sustained engineering designs to database fundamentals to conversational Arabic.
Professor David Santandreu Calonge, dean of CUD’s Faculty of Communication, Arts and Sciences and organiser of the Summer School, said: “With courses covering business, technology, architecture, design, language, culture, and more, we have purposefully created a unique curriculum that offers something for everyone. As the programme allows participants to select up to two courses, it is an opportunity for participants to step out of their comfort zone and try something out of the box.”
