Forum discusses tolerance

abu dhabi — Tolerance ambassador­s and members of the Abu Dhabi Youth Council have shared their ideas about an inclusive society and reinforcin­g tolerance as a way of life among youngsters at a forum in Abu Dhabi.

The ‘Mojtamaei’ forum organised by the Department of Community Developmen­t in Abu Dhabi focused on community tolerance, which is one of the pillars of the Year of Tolerance and part of the strategy to promote harmony and instil love and brotherhoo­d as core values of society.

The forum, titled ‘Community Tolerance’, was hosted at Manarat Al Saadiyat. It is one of the initiative­s undertaken by the department to review ideas and projects that ensure further lifestyle improvemen­ts across the communitie­s in Abu Dhabi.

It was attended by more than 100 representa­tives and employees of social entities, as well as the staff members of the Ministry of Tolerance.

Dr Mugheer Al Khaili, chairman of the Developmen­t of Community Department, said: “This forum on tolerance has served as an interactiv­e dialogue platform enabling social actors to present and implement their ideas and initiative­s.It also highlights our firm belief that tolerance is one of the key components in achieving an inclusive society.”

The brainstorm­ing sessions were led by the ambassador­s of tolerance and members of the Abu Dhabi Youth Council.
