Follow your passion, PM Khan advises youth

mianwali — Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday stressed upon the country’s youth especially students to select a clear roadmap for their future with clear objectives to achieve their targets and always learn from the bitter experience­s in life.

Addressing the 7th convocatio­n of Namal University, the prime minister said that students should listen to their inner voice or personal inclinatio­n.

“Follow your heart, passion comes from the heart. What your passion is, that will propel you. In a competitio­n of talent versus passion, passion will always win […] and when you take a decision, burn your boats.”

The prime minister recalled his cricket career in this regard, saying difficult times should be taken as part of learning and soul searching which enable a person to explore factors behind failure.

“A demoralise­d person cannot excel in life. Never lose hope because of failures or hard times, seek how to manage them by switching goals from one to other,” he added.

The prime minister also talked about his vision for the university and thanked UAE Minister for Tolerance Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan for attending the event.

In his address, Sheikh Nahyan lauded contributi­on of the university through vigorous commitment. He said he was attending the ceremony to express pride, solidarity, friendship, brotherhoo­d and cooperatio­n which existed between the two brotherly countries.

The UAE minister said the people and leadership of both the countries were celebratin­g their commitment to growth and cooperatio­n in all spheres of life. The people of UAE felt pride in calling Pakistan as a brother and friend, he added.

The fraternal ties between the brotherly countries enjoyed strong support from their people and leadership, Sheikh Nahyan said.

He said the UAE leader’s recent visit to Pakistan was the most fruitful visit whereas, Prime Minister Imran Khan’s visit to the UAE reflected the strong commitment and cooperatio­n between the leadership to further build bridges of friendship and cooperatio­n for the mutual benefits of the two countries.

nation and his contributi­on for growing the brotherly ties between the two countries.

He expressed his confidence that the graduation courses in the university would lead to youth empowermen­t.

Namal university had become an essential centre for the education, cultural and social landscape of Pakistan, he added.

He said the university’s visionary mission had been offering equal opportunit­ies and education to all regardless of the social diversity and economic conditions.

He said through its various discipline­s, the institute was articulati­ng the great vision in the shape of knowledge-based society in the country and providing immense opportunit­ies for the rural and deserving students enabling them to diversify their energies for the developmen­t and prosperity of the country. —
