Safeer installs sanitising tunnels in four of its malls

sharjah — Safeer Group of Companies has installed a sanitising tunnel in four of its outlets, with more on the way, in a move to ensure a safe shopping experience for customers.

Each customer entering the mall has to undergo a sanitisati­on process and a thermal scan. Anyone with a temperatur­e higher than a normal body temperatur­e will not be allowed to enter.

Ashok Tulsiani, executive director — FMCG division, says: “In these tough times, it has become more than important to provide a safe shopping experience. It is our duty to take precaution­ary measures and provide a safe environmen­t to our customers. We have currently installed sanitising tunnels in four locations Safeer Mall Sharjah, Safeer Mall Ajman, Central Mall Abu Dhabi and Safeer Centre Khorfakhan — as these are the busiest malls. We are gradually speeding up the process and ensuring that these sanitising tunnels are installed other branches at the earliest.”

As Safeer Group of Companies adopts precaution­ary measures, the management reiterates that it is important for all customers to abide by the rules and regulation­s of the UAE government.

Ashok Motwani, executive director — novelties, adds: “All our customers are scanned once again when they enter our store, as we do not want to leave any chance of risking other valuable customers and our employees. We are not allowing anyone to use trial rooms or accept the exchange/return of goods purchased from our store, as it could pose risks given the situation we are in.

“While cash payments are still valid, we encourage customers to follow contactles­s payments, in order to avoid contact while purchasing anything from our stores.”
