Smart health services can predict your needs
The Ministry of Health and Prevention (Mohap) is undergoing an e-transformation: A range of digital services will ensure a fast, seamless customer experience.
The Mohap stand at Gitex showcases predictive services based on users’ profile and the services they apply for.
“We are narrowing the journey of the user so they know what they are eligible for and how to apply for the service of their choice,” the representative said.
Based on how residents use Mohap services, the system can anticipate the related services that they may need afterwards.
In another innovative service, Mohap created a repository where documents submitted by a user will be saved once he or she creates a profile. “The person has to create a profile and register on the ministry’s website where they upload all required documents just once and it will be saved in our system,” said a representative at the ministry’s stand at Gitex.
Users will also be able to control how their personal information is shared with service providers.

“Mohap doctors give exclusive support — through video calls — to certain categories of people, such as people of determination and senior citizens who may have mobility issues, especially amid Covid-19,” the representative explained.
The ministry also announced a new private health facility licensing approvals service; and an innovative health professional assessment scheme where smart predictive technologies are used.
Samir Al Khoury, director of Mohap’s IT department, said using smart predictive technologies comes as part of the development of health information systems.
These systems have an easyto-use innovative interface to facilitate access to digital services.
