SMART UMBRELLA FROM SHADECRAFT
Sunflower is a robotic parasol that moves with the sun, adjusting its position automatically to keep you shaded at all times. The body is composed of three electric motors, which allow the umbrella to rotate 360 degrees and tilt up to 45 degrees; and solar panels, which enable the gadget to generate and store its own renewable energy, so it doesn’t need to be charged over and over again. The hands-free system means that if you want the Sunflower to “turn left”, “tilt down” or “play music”, it will do so – the latter via Harman Kardon speakers – at the sound of your voice. The umbrella can also be linked to your Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, so you can sync and control your smart-home devices using the voice-activation feature or SmartShade app. A high-definition camera fixed within the pole captures photos and videos for both personal and security reasons, while integrated LED lighting allows you to set the mood by controlling colour and brightness. Finally, the umbrella is equipped with multiple sensors that detect everything from wind speed and humidity to UV radiation, air quality and even obstacles around it, in which case the umbrella will not open up until they are moved.
