MARINE CAN STAY HOME, SAYS INDIA

NEW DELHI // India’s supreme court ruled yesterday that an Italian marine can stay in Italy while a court in The Hague decides which country has jurisdiction over the 2012 shooting deaths of two Indian fishermen. India accused Massimiliano Latorre, and fellow marine Salvatore Girone, of killing the fishermen in Indian waters while assigned to anti-piracy duties aboard an Italian commercial ship.
