POLICEWOMAN JAILED FOR THEFT

A policewoman will spend three months in prison after being convicted of taking money from a wallet left by a passenger at Dubai International Airport. The 28-year-old Emirati, whose job was to search passengers for suspicious items, was seen picking up the wallet from the lost property section on August 5, Dubai Criminal Court was told. The defendant, who was arrested on August 8, admitted taking US dollars and changing them into dirhams at a currency exchange centre in the airport.
