APP FOR EMIRATI DIALECT LAUNCHED

An app containing a glossary of local words was launched yesterday by Dubai Municipality. The app, called Ramsatina, has an option to search the pronunciation in the local dialect and add new words. It contains more than 3,900 words from the local dialect of the UAE and a dictionary so researchers can find out the meaning of the words. Khalid Ali bin Zayed, a member of the Federal National Council, came up with the idea of the app.
