200,000 PALESTINE PERMITS REVOKED

JERUSALEM // Israel yesterday revoked the permits of 200,000 Palestinia­ns to enter Israel, which were approved for Ramadan, after two attacks on police that killed a female officer near Jerusalem’s Old City. Israeli defence body Cogat made the announceme­nt on its Arabiclang­uage Facebook page. Earlier, prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that preparatio­ns were under way to destroy the homes of the Palestinia­n attackers. Three armed Palestinia­n men attacked officers on duty near the Old City in two places on Friday.
