Banned Bailly to miss European Super Cup

-

Manchester United defender Eric Bailly will miss the European Super Cup against Real Madrid after Uefa handed the Ivorian a three-match European ban. Bailly was sent off for violent conduct in the second leg of United’s Europa League semi-final victory over Celta Vigo in May for his part in a melee in the final minutes of a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford. He was suspended for the 2-0 win over Ajax in the final and will sit out a further two games, including the Super Cup clash against Uefa Champions League winners Madrid in Skopje, Macedonia on August 8. Bailly will also miss United’s first Uefa Champions League group game.
