The best activities for kids inspired by Emirati Children’s Day

In celebratio­n of Emirati Children’s Day today, here are some events and activities taking place this month for families to enjoy.

Dubai Marina Street Festival hosts more than 40 performanc­e acts from around the world, including magicians, jugglers, comedians and acrobats. The family festival also features food trucks and activities.

Louvre Abu Dhabi’s programme features a Korean children’s puppet show, A Tree and a Boy, which tells the story of a boy and the growth of a tree, showing the beauty of life. The Befu Theatre Company will perform it in English, for children ages 6 and older.

Al Ain National Museum hosts a workshop programme for children ages 10 and older, dedicated to the archaeolog­y of Qattara, as part of the Al Ain Cultural Programme. Star Object of the Month features artefacts from regional excavation­s, including a BronzeAge-era electrum (gold and silver) pendant found in the 1970s.

Manchester City Abu Dhabi Cup returns to the capital with 96 internatio­nal youth teams competing to visit the Etihad Campus in Manchester, and the chance to train and play at the City Football Academy.
