God rewards the faithful who perform good deeds

-

God not only counts every good deed a person does – He multiplies it and rewards them, worshippers will be reminded on Friday.

The sermon highlights the benefits of performing acts of goodness in this life, and how they are generously rewarded by God.

A verse from the Quran says: “Indeed, Allah does not do injustice, [even] as much as an atom’s weight; while if there is a good deed, He multiplies it and gives from Himself a great reward.”

Moreover, Prophet Mohammed said that: “Allah ordered (the appointed angels over you) that the good and the bad deeds be written, and He then showed (the way) how (to write).

“If somebody intends to do a good deed and he does not do it, then Allah will write for him a full good deed (in his account with Him); and if he intends to do a good deed and actually did it, then Allah will write for him (in his account) with Him (its reward equal) from 10 to 700 times to many more times; And if somebody intended to do a bad deed and he does not do it, then Allah will write a full good deed (in his account) with Him, and if he intended to do it (a bad deed) and actually did it, then Allah will write one bad deed (in his account).”

When a person knows that, they will be encouraged to perform more good, says the sermon. And when they are aware of God’s observance of their every move, they will refrain from committing unrighteous acts.

God also multiplies the rewards of every letter one recites of the Holy Quran. As a Hadith by Prophet Mohammed says: “Whoever recites a letter from Allah’s Book, then he receives the reward from it, and the reward of 10 the like of it.”

Furthermore, those who find it difficult to recite the Quran and try hard to do that will receive double reward thereof. As the Prophet Mohammed said: “The one who recites the Quran and stumbles over it, finding it difficult, will have a double reward.” This means he will receive a reward for recitation and another reward for trying his best to recite it in the most appropriate way possible, the sermon says.

Moreover, God multiplies the rewards of spending for charity.

“The men who practise charity and the women who practise charity and [they who] have loaned Allah a goodly loan – it will be multiplied for them, and they will have a noble reward,” the Quran says.
