The 23rd season of Global Village, the annual multicultural shopping and entertainment festival, features new additions including a larger Emirates pavilion; eight new bridges that replicate famous architecture; a floating market; a fiery musical fountain; an interactive children’s theatre; more than 100 video games in the Carnaval funfair; and a 50-metre screen on the Wheel of the World Ferris wheel showing live images of Dubai. ABU DHABI WEAVE TO THE BEAT
NYU Abu Dhabi presents Tangle, an interactive playground with live music created by Australia’s Polyglot Theatre. It is designed to engage children aged 2 to 12 by giving them a ball of coloured ribbon to weave an elaborate web of their
design to the beat of live music. The multicoloured sculpture begins to take shape and evolves over the two weekends of the residency.
