Rulers send Eid Al Adha greetings

President Sheikh Khalifa sent cables of congratula­tions to kings, presidents and emirs of Arab and Islamic countries, on the occasion of Eid Al Adha.

“Sheikh Khalifa expressed his wishes for good health and happiness to the leaders and wished further progress and prosperity to all Arab and Muslim people,” state news agency Wam reported.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, yesterday sent Eid Al Adha greetings to all who are celebratin­g the occasion.

Sheikh Mohammed congratula­ted the people of the UAE and all Arab and Islamic people around the world who are marking Eid.

Writing on social media, Sheikh Mohammed also wished for the good health, safety and security of all.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, exchanged Eid Al Adha greetings with Arab leaders.

They included Sheikh Nawaf, Emir of Kuwait; King Abdullah II of Jordan; Abdel Fattah El Sisi, President of Egypt; and Barham Salih, President of Iraq, Wam reported.

Sheikh Mohamed also exchanged Eid greetings on Sunday with Oman’s Ruler, Sultan Haitham; Mohamed Ghazouani, President of Mauritania; Sheikh Meshal Al Sabah, Crown Prince of Kuwait; Mustafa Al Kadhimi, Prime Minister of Iraq; and Nechirvan Barzani, President of the Kurdistan region of Iraq.

The Arab leaders reciprocat­ed the greetings and wished more progress, safety and security to the UAE people under Sheikh Khalifa’s leadership.

They also expressed their wishes for more prosperity and developmen­t to the Arab and Islamic nations.

Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, also sent a message of congratula­tions.

“During these holy days, we wish the people of the UAE and all Muslims around the world a blessed Eid Al Adha,” Sheikh Maktoum wrote.

People in the Emirates are enjoying a four-day holiday to mark Eid Al Adha.

Health authoritie­s in the country have urged people to avoid large gatherings and to continue to follow coronaviru­s health guidelines.
