New pointillism exhibition at the French Alliance Abu Dhabi

American artist Kathleen Caillier will be exhibiting a selection of her work at the French Alliance Abu Dhabi this month. Dubbed Atoms And Particles, the show will display 36 pieces that feature her unique style of pointillism.

Caillier describes her creations as a mix of “brushes, dots, commas, lines and everything in between”. The portraits begin with a black background, decorated with colourful dashes, lines and dots. “From an empty black surface comes a rendition of life. I feel that with this type of painting there is even more communication between the painting and myself.”

The exhibit will feature pastoral scenes of France, the Czech Republic and Abu Dhabi. Until February 18
