While the capital still doesn’t have a dedicated skydiving space, you can try the next best thing with a zip around the Spacewalk at the Abu Dhabi Country Club. The tunnel has an 875 horsepower fan system that’ll keep you afloat with wind speeds capable of reaching up to 160kph.

Ziplining
Not just for trampoline fanatics, Bounce Abu Dhabi in Marina Mall also has a 40-metre long zipline if you’re after some serious air. Best of all, you can get strapped into a dorsal harness that will see you zip across the space head-first, Superman style. Once you’ve reached the other side there’s an 18-metre quick drop, if you’re so inclined. Note the weight limit for both the zipline and drop is 120kg.

planE tours
The Cessna seaplane at Seawings will see guests lift off from the waters of Yas Marina for a 25-minute flight that will give you a bird’s eye view of the capital. Expect to see everything from the Yas Marina Circuit to the mangroves and Emirates Palace. For something away from the city check out their 50-minute flight on Sir Bani Yas Island, which includes an safari at the wildlife reserve as well as a three-course lunch.
