Cereal Killer Café opens in The Dubai Mall

-

When the first Cereal Killer Café opened in London, diners were excited to try a range of imported, obsure cornflakes. The novelty factor and hipster feel catapulted the tiny outlet into international fame. Fast forward two years and they’ve branched out and landed in The Dubai Mall. Sadly, most of the varieties on offer – Coco Pops, Shreddies and Crunchy Nut Clusters, for example – can all be picked up from your local supermarket, eliminating that hardto-get appeal. And, for Dhs31, it seems like a steep price for breakfast nostaligia.

Lima is scheduled to open at City Walk this month

If there’s one cuisine we’ve probably overdone in Dubai, it’s Peruvian, but the imminent arrival of Lima is worth getting excited about. Why? Well, according to San Pellegrino World’s 50 Best Restaurants List the man behind Lima has also produced the fourth best restaurant in the world, named Central, in Peru. Central’s head chef Virgillo Martinez also has a Michelin-starred restaurant in London called Lima, and now he’s opening up one in Dubai. We’re told that it’ll open its fine-dining doors in City Walk this month. Look out for our review in next month’s issue.
