Ati-Atihan
Kalibo, Philippines
Described as “the mother of all Philippines festival”, Ati-Atihan sees tribal dance music and huge parades through the street with people dressed in traditional costumes. Although traditionally a religious festival celebrating the early settlers, everyone is free to join in. It’s a great event to witness. You can then follow others as they head to the nearby island of Boracay for more parties. January 1 to 20
