A knockout hit The London stage production of warbles into Al Quoz

Peter Shaffer’s iconic play Amadeus comes to Dubai fresh from its run at London’s famous National Theatre. It will be shown at The Courtyard Playhouse in Al Quoz on February 24 and 25.

The play stars Lucian Msamati as court composer Antonio Salieri, a man consumed with jealousy by the arrival of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart – a rowdy young prodigy who’s about to topple his reign as the greatest musician in Venice. With two excellent central roles and a powerful performance from the Southbank Sinfonia, who masterfully manage to harness the entire production together, Amadeus has achieved universal critical acclaim. In his review for The Telegraph last October, critic Dominic Cavendish remarked that the show is “a note-perfect production”. February 24 and 25
