Now in its 14th year, the Dubai Holdings SkyRun sees thousands of participants race up the 52 floors of Jumeirah Emirates Towers. If you’re wondering what could persuade anyone to put themselves through that – 1,334 steps, or 265 metres, to be exact – the money raised goes towards a good cause. This year’s charity is the Al Jalila Foundation, funding research for obesity education and treatment. Since 2016, the event has joined the Vertical World Summit, a list of nine races that take place in iconic skyscrapers around the world. March 3
