Dubai Drama Group take on one of Shakespeare’s most tragic tales

Taking on a Shakespeare great is a challenge in itself, let alone attempting it with five actors to cover the entire cast. Dubai Drama Group plans to perform Hamlet doing just that, the first time it has ever been attempted in the UAE. There’s no director, just five seasoned actors without a set, no costumes (corsets and period costumes probably don’t lend themselves to lightning quick costume changes), a few props and a handful of accessories to differentiate between characters. It’s set to be an intense performance, with theatre in its most stripped-down form. April 13 to 15
