Dining at Il Capo, with its grandiose marble detailing and ceiling roses, makes you feel like you could be in the heart of Manhattan. It’s the kind of room in which Frank Sinatra would have had meetings with questionable mobster types. The menu is split into many sections, including crostini, cichhetti (which translates to snacks), meats and cheeses, soups and salads, pasta, pizza, mains and sides. We say go for a handful of starters and then pizzas and pasta to share – that allows you to sample as much as possible in one sitting (you may leave overly full, sure, but this is an Italian-American joint after all). Highlights include the perfectly charred meatball pizza (Dhs70) and the wild mushroom pasta (Dhs72).
