THE ARTISAN
The Artisan comes from an esteemed bloodline – it’s in the same family as Enoteca Pinchiorri, a three Michelinstarred restaurant in Florence. The Artisan is a younger sibling rather than a twin – and it’s distinctly more relaxed. But the food is anything but causal. The pasta courses are a triumph. The tuffoli slathered in ossobuco ragu (Dhs80) is rich and meaty, but the standout is the pumpkin-stuffed agnolotti (Dhs90). We’ve had many a bland vegetable-filled pasta, but this is bursting with a silky, sage-infused purée. Food wise, key ingredients are allowed to sing without a chorus of ten other flavours fighting for attention.
