Made By Native
You’ll find Made By Native inside Dubai Garden Centre. They are a collective of craftspeople making classically beautiful leather accessories, from wallets and notebooks to bags and belts, specifically to customer order. The team uses only vegetable tanned leathers, sourced from ethical Italian farms where the hides are a by-product of the meat industry, as well as natural linen threads, meaning its end products are not only stylish but as environmentally friendly as possible.

05 Enable
Employing 32 young Emiratis with intellectual disabilities, Enable is a social enterprise that produces a picture perfect range of potted cacti and succulents, with 100 per cent of profits retained within the scheme. Staff are given 360 degree entrepreneurship training and for each display you buy, a proportion of the profit goes directly to the staff member who created it to help them fund their own business venture in future. Brilliant.

Tribe
Tribe, a gorgeous homewares haven, stocks some of the city’s most lust-worthy lifestyle props, from lights and cushions to prints and tribal accessories, sourced from across the world. We love the rugs from Armadillo & Co, a Fairtrade firm that educates all of its weavers’ children, while proceeds from the Culture In Colour books go to rebuilding earthquake hit communities in Nepal.
