“Colm Carmody (Pura’s coowner) and I have been friends and chefs for 20 years, working in five-star hotels and Michelinst­arred restaurant­s. Because of that experience, we understand food quality better than anyone else. We apply special techniques to get the best out of our meat such as smoking, slow roasting and double cooking. That’s what makes it taste great.

As chefs, we can adapt recipes easily, and remove calorie heavy aspects that still result in a tasty dish. We can make delicious butter chicken without the butter, amazing Thai curries without coconut milk, and fresh tomato sauce without sugar.

As cliché as it sounds, I started Pura because I wanted to help people reach their goals (and quicker than I did). I went on a horrific journey to lose weight and I don’t want anyone to have to go through the same.

I am the longest standing Pura customer! vUnfortuna­tely, I still really over eat when left to my own devices. I don’t have the time to work, hit the gym, spend time with my wife and prepare food, so Pura fits into my life perfectly, and I hope it helps our clients as much as it’s helped me.”
