My JLT

- Craig Harriman, founder of Base3, has everything he needs in JLT

I love being in JLT because it has pretty much anything I could want, right on my doorstep. My day starts early – I'm up at 5am and coaching classes in Base 3 (01) until 9am. We offer strength, conditioning and CrossFit classes. Sometimes people come over just to hang out. It's a growing community and we're so proud to be a part of it. On weekends, I usually train in the morning and then head 02 out for some food with the guys. Fraiche (02) is one of my favourite places to go for breakfast. But there are so many hidden gems when it comes to food in JLT. My number one spot is Pitfire Pizza (03) – you have to try the garlic knots – and right next door, there's Chalco's (04), 04 which serves authentic Mexican food. On Thursdays, Friends Avenue (05) do an amazing pulled beef sandwich for lunch, but get there quickly because they sell out fast. When we're looking for some greenery in the city, we hang out in this big grass bowl behind Cluster O (06). It looks like a giant crater and it's great for picnicking, kicking a ball around 06 or working out. It's amazing to see how much the fitness scene in Dubai has evolved in the last decade. It used to be just a handful of chains and hardcore body building gyms, but now you can find pretty much anything: parkour, calisthenics, dance, CrossFit and many of them are right here in my 'hood.
