Gael Garcia Bernal, Anthony Gonzalez Since 2015’s box office smash Inside Out, Pixar’s been on the hunt for their next hit – but sadly, Coco misses the mark. The story follows Miguel, a young boy who accidentally finds himself whisked off to the Land Of The Dead and a journey into his family history. Although it’s beautifully rendered with a rich colourful palette, the bare bones of the plot lets this adventure down.

his biker mum, played by peak-’80s Cher? Well, swap Cher for peak-stepmom Julia Roberts and you get Wonder, about a mother sending her ten-year-old boy – who has undergone 27 facial surgeries – to school for the first time. An instant classic.

Thankfully, Paddington’s (Ben Whishaw) still in London and on a quest to catch the thief of a rare pop-up book he has bought for his Aunt Lucy’s (Imelda Staunton) 100th birthday. Prepare for a welcomed overdose of all the fuzzywuzzy feels.
