Seeing the restaurant come alive for the opening in October 2010 was something quite amazing. I didn’t know what to expect but I knew we were special. Ten years later, and more than a million people served, my instinct was spot on.

Creation of Snails

I would have never thought it would become our most popular dish globally. This dish was invented by our former Dubai Head Chef, Rory Duncan. I have eaten many snail dishes, however I feel LPM’s is quite special. The secret is in the way we prepare the butter.

Tomatini Creation

Our signature cocktail is described as ‘the essence of LPM in a glass’ and was created by award-winning bartender Jimmy Barrat, who works for our sister company Zuma. Jimmy was asked to create a signature serve to celebrate LPM. As you always find tomato and lemon on an LPM table, the original recipe contained fresh muddled tomato, a drop of lemon juice, a dash of sugar syrup, Ketel One and aged white balsamic vinegar. It’s very refreshing.

Winning What’s On Award ‘Favourite French Restaurant’

It was a very proud moment for the whole team when we were awarded ‘Favourite French Restaurant’ at the 2016 What’s On Awards. As this is a people’s choice awards, we were humbled and grateful to the people of Dubai for their love and support.

Interviewi­ng Chef Izu for Head Chef Role

I have been very proud to watch Izu’s career flourish over the years and for him to become one of the most recognisab­le chefs in Dubai. I remember the day I interviewe­d him. I knew that he was the right person for the role as head chef and to assist me in introducin­g LPM to the UAE. I am glad to see that LPM’s French Mediterran­ean food philosophy and my support and guidance played a pivotal role in Izu’s career and success.

Deliveroo Launch

Who would have guessed that LPM would offer delivery? We have received many requests over the years, however it wasn’t the right time to launch such a service. We wanted to do it right, and to be able to bring a true LPM experience into our guests’ homes. The pandemic left little choice but to put all our heart into the
