duty of switching it on and logging in again. Moreover, in notebook mode, the keyboard only allows two angles — 115 and 155 degrees ( I actually had to use an online protractor to measure it) — and that might prove uncomforta­ble for some. And forget about holding the whole thing on i ts keyboard base; i t’s creeky on the 115 degree angle and will totally lie down flat on 155; it’s just so fragile. Want more beef? Because of the positionin­g of the magnet on the keyboard, you won’t be able to close the device at will — you need to snap the tablet off it before you can close it. With all these issues, we’re grateful it’s a full- sized keyboard at least.

On the bright side, the performanc­e is great. Battery life, in my mixed- use test, gave a shade under seven hours. And its speakers are also pleasantly good.

AND SO...

The Samsung Galaxy Tabpro S is a great find, although you would almost certainly not feel the same with that keyboard- cover. It’s annoying, and I’m surprised Samsung missed it. If it weren’t for that, convenienc­e would fully describe this device.
