VIBRATING ROLLER

This vibrating roller from Pulseroll received plenty of guffaws from the various manchilds in the office. But, on paper, combining pressure and vibration seems a strong and novel idea, so how does this work on aching limbs after S&C sets? Power rating Level 4 is certainly powerful and noisy, with the floorboards (and anything not nailed down) shaking violently when it’s in use, making this unlikely to win you any invites around the neighbours or fellow hotel guests if you’re travelling. The latter being a shame as, at 1kg and with a carry bag, it’s portable for travelling. It’s durable and solid, and the rechargeable battery life is an impressive three hours. But does it have benefits? We’ve yet to see any science from Pulseroll but there was a perceived reduction in DOMS the morning following a particularly brutal day of S&C. We just would’ve preferred a cradle to stop it – and us – moving across the floor so much. JS
