Fresh from being named our most beginner-friendly iron triathlon in Europe (see p70 , we’ve teamed-up with the organisers of the Outlaw triathlons, OSB Events, and leading triathlon brand Bluesevent­y to offffffer one charmed reader the ultimate race package.

The winning entrant will be able to pick a spot at either the Outlaw Half Holkham on 2 July in Norfolk or the full Outlaw at Holme Pierrepont in Nottingham on 23 July. You can take on the races singlehand­edly or find two friends and compete as a relay team.

The Outlaw Half Holkham began life in July 2016 as a roaring success. The debut race welcomed nearly 1,000 athletes to northern Norfolk to take on the 1.9km swim, 90km bike and 21.1km run discipline­s in the stunning surroundin­gs of Holkham Hall.

The original Outlaw, meanwhile, takes place on 23 July at Holme Pierrepont, the National Watersport­s Centre near Nottingham. Since 2010, the race has sent thousands of athletes on a 3.8km swim, 180km bike and a 42.2km marathon run around Nottingham­shire.

The race has become famous for its atmosphere and organisati­on, and has won

220 Triathlon’s Race of the Year award five times since it was first launched.

You don’t have to worry about getting to the event without a stitch to wear either, as pioneering triathlon brand Bluesevent­y will supply you with a wetsuit and all the accessorie­s you need for race day.

The New Zealand-hailing outfit will fix you up with the right wetsuit based on your swimming ability, be it the range-topping and multiple award-gobbling Helix wetsuit (£495 or the new Reaction (£345 , which is designed to offffffer extra buoyancy to those who need it. Also included are a transition bag (£65 , goggles, a swim cap, race belt and a neoprene skull cap to help you train and get around the course in Holkham or Nottingham.
