JARGON BUSTER
The type of motion you demonstrate when you run. Runners can be loosely categorised as overpronators (excessive rolling in of the foot), neutral (the most natural and consistent landing) and underpronators (excessive rolling towards the stride’s outstep).
CADENCE
Steps per minute. An average number for a recreational distance runner would be around 160-170 SPM, whereas elites can keep 180 or more.
DROP
The distance the sole descends from the heel to the toe, measured in millimetres.
