The type of motion you demonstrat­e when you run. Runners can be loosely categorise­d as overpronat­ors (excessive rolling in of the foot), neutral (the most natural and consistent landing) and underprona­tors (excessive rolling towards the stride’s outstep).

CADENCE

Steps per minute. An average number for a recreation­al distance runner would be around 160-170 SPM, whereas elites can keep 180 or more.

DROP

The distance the sole descends from the heel to the toe, measured in millimetre­s.
