LAZER WASP AIR TRI
Looking to buy a TT lid? Lazer’s new Wasp Tri caters specifically for the triathlete
Thanks to the continuing growth of triathlon, cycle brands are keener than ever to manufacture products catering specifically for the needs of triathletes. The Wasp Air Tri from Lazer (www.madison.co.uk) is one of them, having changed shape and been given a new ventilation system for 2017.
Weighing in at 380g for a size M/L, the Wasp Air Tri is the product of extensive wind tunnel research. Much emphasis has also been placed on cooling and ventilation, and on top of the helmet is a gap to squirt water in to, dubbed an ‘Aquaport’ by Lazer, to quickly cool the head. In front of this is a ventilation grid to draw air into the helmet. An integrated visor can also be moved forward if needed to provide additional airflow. Lazer’s Turnfit retention system ensures a snug fit, with a large dial that’s easy to reach and operate.
Look out for our TT helmet grouptest in issue 339, on sale 23 May.
