HOKA ARAHI

£100 Big-soled stability

-

H oka surged to second place in the 2016 Ironman Worlds shoe count, proving that the oversized-shoe trend has been adopted by those at the leading edge of long-distance tri. The Arahi are new for 2017 and is the first targeted stability shoe in the brand’s run range. The Arahi offer the same heel height (29mm) and heel-to-toe drop (5mm) as Hoka’s Cliftons and, although they tip the scales 20g more at 265g, the feel isn’t dissimilar, offering stability via Hoka’s new J-Frame tech and yet never feel too spongey or unresponsive. If you’re unfamiliar with Hokas, it’s the lean weight that still excites, with the Arahi continuing this trend – although some may still feel the midfoot is too narrow. MB hokaoneone.eu
