O n first impressions, we thought this pricey piece of run kit from Gore seemed convoluted, but we were quickly converted thanks to its breathability and versatility. You can unzip the sleeves to make it into a tee, and we often plumped for the short-sleeved set-up with a long base layer for morning runs in early spring. As a long-sleeved jersey/jacket hybrid it’s also fantastic, and the sleeves are so light and breathable they feel barely there. Two good sized pockets either side at the back make the Fusion Windstopper a superior choice for chilly runs (wear thermal layers underneath), or on its own in temps up to double digits.
