MEN’S VERDICT

-

Being a hi high-end wetsuit test, we were pleased pl to discover that all suits sui here were of a very high stand standard. There were no sillygimm silly gimmicks and nothing that would stop us reaching for any of them come race day. In short, there were no losers here.

Huub score points for innovation with their +43 foam compound and, while Roka’s Maverick Elite picked up our ‘lowest’ score, this is more of a reflection of what you can expect compared to their top-level Maverick X suit.

We were hesitant to give our best value award to a suit pushing £500, but there aren’t really any compromises between Zone3’s Vanquish and the options at £600 or above. If you can’t stretch to this then Aqua Sphere’s reliable Racer is a solid purchase.

Throwing budget out of the window and 2XU’s Propel just edges it. While the G-Range from Sailfish also offers a very natural feel through the water, the Propel just feels that bit more comfortable and supple. It’s an absolute class leader.
