How flexible are you? I’m not talking about whether you find it tough to put your socks on in the morning (although if you do, then a little S&C might be an idea), but about how you cope and adapt when things don’t go your way. None of us like to think about things disrupting our tri season, but with real life, injury and being, well, human all getting in the way, it’s almost inevitable that you’ll need to be flexible. This month we asked world champ and coach Spencer Smith to show us all how to still have a successful season, even when things don’t quite go to plan (p33). Mind you, if on the other hand you’re going great guns this year, then you’re not off the hook just yet – find a bigger and better challenge on p38 as we look at the best new multisport adventures.
