YOUR ITINERARY day 1 – fly to South africa
You will leave London Heathrow on a direct overnight flight to Johannesburg.
day 2 – cape town
When you arrive in Cape Town after your connecting flight, you will be met and transferred to the four-star Cape Milner Hotel, where you’ll be staying for four nights, to celebrate with a welcome dinner.
day 3 – table Mountain
In the morning you will explore stunning Cape Town with a guided city tour, before visiting iconic Table Mountain, including a cable car ride to the 1,089m summit.
day 4 – cape of Good hope
Today’s exploration of the Cape Peninsula will include a drive along the breathtaking coastal route, Chapman’s Peak Drive, a visit to the magnificent Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, a stop-off to see the African penguin colony at Boulders Beach, a trip on the Flying Dutchman Funicular railway, and the chance to explore historic Simon’s Town, where you will enjoy lunch at Bertha’s Restaurant, before visiting the famous Cape of Good Hope.
day 5 – explore cape town
In the morning you will board the ferry for a short sea crossing to Robben Island, home to the infamous prison where Nelson Mandela spent 18 years in captivity, where you will be led on a fascinating guided tour by one of its former inmates. The afternoon is free for you to discover more of beautiful Cape Town.
day 6 – cape winelands and Stellenbosch
Today you will discover the Cape’s world-famous wine region. Your first stop will be a cheese-and-wine tasting at Fairview Wine Estate. Then you will visit the beautiful town of Stellenbosch, before a visit to Boschendal Wine Estate with a picnic lunch. You will then travel to the four-star Devon Valley Hotel for a two-night stay.
day 7 – f ranschhoek
The charming French Huguenot village of Franschhoek is a must for any visit to the Winelands. While here, you will enjoy a
tasting at the Franschhoek Cellar Wines estate of wines and handmade chocolates. day 8 – hermanus You will travel through Sir Lowry’s Pass to the fishing village of Hermanus for lunch with a visit to the fascinating Whale House Museum. You will then go for dinner at your rural home for two nights, the four-star Blue Gum Country Estate.
day 9 – dyer island
In the morning you will travel along the coastline to the fishing village of Gansbaai to take a boat trip to Dyer Island, one of the most richly populated islands for sea birds and seals. After lunch you will enjoy a guided walk in Fernkloof Nature Reserve, before a farewell dinner at your hotel.
day 1 0 – leaving the cape
You will be transferred to Cape Town airport ready to depart on an afternoon flight to Johannesburg. There you will connect with the direct overnight flight to London to arrive the next morning.
