Primo Porsche his­to­rian Randy Leff­in­g­well has popped out an­other prize tome, this time chron­i­cling the full his­tory of the com­pany and its wares. Porsche 70 Years: There is No Sub­sti­tute com­bines in-depth anal­y­sis with both con­tem­po­rary and ar­chive pho­tos to cre­ate a rich his­tory of our favourite car maker. Cre­ated in co-op­er­a­tion with Porsche, the book show­cases the en­gi­neer­ing and de­sign sto­ries be­hind many of Stuttgart's most fa­mous cars, in­clud­ing the 356, 904, 917, 911 and 956, not to men­tion sev­eral mod­ern wa­ter-cooled mod­els and more. It also pro­files key play­ers from through­out the mar­que's il­lus­tri­ous his­tory. Porsche 70 Years: There is No Sub­sti­tute is pub­lished by Mo­tor­books, an im­print of The Quarto group, and will be re­leased in hard­back on 28th September for £45.
