PROJECTS

We don’t just write about Porsches, we drive and live with them, too

THE TEAM STEVE BENNETT 996 C2/944 LUX

It’s full steam ahead on the 996 now, what with a bit of dosh in my pocket from selling the 944. The air-con is blowing cold and fancy new CSF cooling rads have been fitted. Oh, and there’s an Ohlins kit to fit.

KEITHSEUME 912/6 ‘EL CHUCHO’

Things are running well, although there is still an improvement to be made on the warm-up cycle of the fuel management programme. Time to dig out the laptop again... Full report next month.

CHRISHORTON 924S, 944

A new master cylinder and a bleed-through of fresh fluid has got the 924S brakes working well again – good job, with the annual test coming up – and the 944 is at Bsmotorsport while I fix up the E39 BMW.

PETER SIMPSON 356C

I’m just about to attach the 356 to a newly bought rollover jig so I can get on with cutting out the floors and replacing them with the new Dansk panels that have arrived and ready to fit.

BRETT FRASER BOXSTER 3.2S

The Boxster is overdue a service, but I’m putting off the evil day for fear of what else we might discover while it’s up on the ramps. Creaking suspension indicates coffin arms past their best.

JOHNNY TIPLER BOXSTER 3.2S

The 996 C2 is gone, long live the Boxster 3.2S. Yes, I missed Mrs T’s 986 Boxster S so much I traded the 996 in for a new kitchen, with enough to spare for another. Let the modifications begin.

JEREMY LAIRD CAYMAN S

After some troubling months, finally some good news, as you can see opposite. Sorting the exhaust headers out for less than a ‘bag of sand’ a result and H&R springs have sorted the suspension issues.
